Saturday (June 24) was supposed to be Jacob's one-on-one day; but Sydni wanted to go to the game with us and started crying in the hallway. She cried "I can't wait another day, I just can't!" So Jacob graciously agreed to let her go with me and he went with Granny Gran, PoPo and Caleb fishing.
Sydni and I went to the RR Express game. She's not really into sports so I was curious why she wanted to go -- once we got in the gift shop I understood. She was so excited and she ended up getting a pink penant; lip gloss and three tatoos. We went to the play area so she could jump around before the game. She went up a bouncy slide and when she got to the top she looked at me and waved and then tumbled (literally) down the slide. Poor thing hurt her elbow and she was done with playing. Next up was getting a sno-cone -- oh she had been thinking about that sno-cone since the last time she was at the game. She had some chicken strips and finally some cotton candy.
Sydni didn't really pay that much attention to the game. She was more interested in talking throughout the game. The people around us got a kick out of her -- at least I hope they did; no one moved ;-) -- she was very interested in the bugs that were around the lights and wondering if the bigger bugs were the momma bugs and saying that they didn't have any daddy bugs. Even though she didn't want to pay attention to the game, she didn't want to leave. They went into extra innings but I told her they were just playing "extra" but the real game was over so we could leave.
