cars....

Granny Gran and I took the kids to see Pixar's new movie "Cars" this weekend. We had been waiting and waiting for this movie for so long and couldn't wait to go see it. I promised the kids I would take off work around lunch time so we could go see the movie on the day it came out (June 9); well, of course that didn't happen. But I did get home in time to take them to the 7:15 pm showing at the local theatre. When we got there, there was a line outside waiting to get in and I realized that I had looked at the wrong movie and our movie had actually started at 6:45 pm.

The kids were so disappointed. They wanted me to drive to the big city to take them but I promised them that we would go to the first showing on Saturday. As soon as they woke up this morning, they kept asking if we had missed the movie. It was a long morning -- but we finally made it and loved it. It's a very cute movie -- and they have done a remarkable marketing job for this movie. Unbelievable.

Caleb, Sydni and I went to go see "Over the Hedge" today too. Sydni decided the bear was too much and does not want to buy this movie or ever see it again. Caleb thought it was all funny.
