what's going around?

This year has been filled with illnesses.

Caleb, Jacob and Sydni have all recently been sick. Caleb gets asthma/bronchitis easily so he has seen his share this year.

Jacob has had this cough for a while now and just had to have an x-ray (which thankfully came back normal). It was tough on him because he couldn't eat for 12 hours. Diane and I took him to his appointment and the doctor's office (in their infinite wisdom) had a vending machine (who in their right mind puts a vending machine in an office where the majority of their patients have to fast before going there and having to wait forever for their appointment???). Poor thing really wanted to play with the maching and he said he was hungry but he wasn't going to eat anything -- he just wanted to hold it.

Sydni has been running fever off and on now for a while but the doctor gave her a clean bill of health. I guess it doesn't help that their school has been plagued with all sorts of viruses going around. And Sydni really wants a perfect attendance award this time around so she's really trying not to get sick (at least she'll get it in Girl Scouts -- fingers crossed).
