Easter weekend

This year we had a quiet relaxing Easter weekend. Mommy had to work and Sydni was sick so it was pretty laid back. Since Mommy worked, the Easter goodies came early as she gave them filled Easter baskets on Saturday.

I had some baskets filled for the kids for Easter morning and they were thrilled when they woke up bright and early at 6:30 AM -- Jacob said "wait a minute -- the Easter bunny came!" and Caleb said "the Easter bunny came Auntie D; you didn't have to do it!" and Sydni lastly said (at least in a whisper) "I know you did it Dede, I know you're the Easter bunny!" (my mistake came when I gave them some of the same treats I gave Sydni's Girl Scout troop the previous Sunday.)

For the past two years, I have made a bunny shirt complete with fluffy tail to wear on Easter Sunday. Sydni called me early last week to see if I was still going to be the Easter bunny for them; she asked if I still had my costume and when I told her I didn't, she offered to make it for me. Sydni made great ears -- but since the Easter bunny came with the baskets, I didn't need to wear the outfit.

The rest of the day was spent painting eggs, blowing bubbles, cracking cascarones, an Easter egg hunt, great lunch prepared by Granny Gran and watching
It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown as well as Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail the Movie.

Pics to come soon....
